WeLCOME HOME
What is an O'RHO?O'RHO's are members of Chi Omega Rho, a local sorority based in Southfield, Michigan. Founded on Lawrence Technological University's campus in 1978, we are the only one of our kind! Chi Omega Rho was founded by eight devoted women who helped the sorority grow to become one of the most established sororities on campus. The motto we live by is “Purity in the bonds of sisterhood and the awakening of womanhood”.
Chi Omega Rho is a close group of young women who support each other in their social and academic growth throughout college and for years after graduation. Not only are they involved with other organizations, philanthropies, and fundraisers, but they share a bond of sisterhood that creates a much needed support system and lifelong friendships. |
PhilanthropyWe take pride in the philanthropies we contribute to each and every year. Our Main philanthropies are:
Ronald McDonald House of Detroit & The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Each year Chi Omega Rho continues to advance their mission of awarding a scholarship to an incoming female freshman who has demonstrated leadership skills, involvement in her community, and excelled in her studies.
In 2021, we were able to raise $3,500 at our 11th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing which will go to Incoming Freshman girls in scholarships. |
Social & ACADEMIC Life
You will often find our sisters studying together in the library, hanging out and laughing in the Atrium, or even pulling long hours in studio! College can be stressful, but with a great support system, you know you are not alone!
Architecture and Design, Business Administration, Nursing, and Mechanical Engineering are just few of the current member's majors. Regardless of each of their majors, our sisters continue to support each other in their drive for academic excellence. Not only are the members active in the sorority, but they are influential on and off campus. There are members involved in other organizations and sports like Student Government, Woman's Bowling, SODA, Greek Council, American Society of Civil Engineers, Steel Bridge, Woman's Lacrosse, DECA, 4-H, Society of Suicide Awareness and Prevention, Order of Omega, Coalition of Student Designers (created by our Own sister, Andrea Hauser), and even Society of Women Engineers.
